Swatch debuts Moonshine Gold-touched MoonSwatch, limited by the full moon

Nearly a 12 months after introducing the MoonSwatch, a “large leap” between a Swatch watch and the primary chronograph worn on the moon, Swatch and Omega have taken a “small step” towards bringing a little bit of moonshine to your wrist.

On Tuesday (March 7), in conjunction with the night’s full moon, Swatch issued on the market a special edition of its MoonSwatch (opens in new tab) “Mission to the Moon” mannequin that includes a seconds hand made using “Moonshine Gold.” (opens in new tab) In keeping with Omega, which made the Speedmaster Skilled on which the design of the MoonSwatch relies, its unique Moonshine Gold alloy is a “paler hue than conventional yellow gold” and has the next resistance to fading.
