It is a comparatively small rocket, simply 110 toes (33 meters), and will not be carrying something for this test flight aside from a memento: the primary profitable metallic 3D print from the corporate’s printers.

About 85% of the rocket, named Terran, is product of 3D components printed on the firm’s manufacturing facility in Lengthy Seashore, California, together with its engines. Relativity House goals to extend that share on its future variations.

SpaceX’s Falcon rockets have been flying with 3D components for years, however not almost to the extent of Relativity House’s new rocket.

Relativity House stated its rocket is the biggest 3D printed object to aim a launch.

Businessman Mark Cuban of TV’s “Shark Tank” was among the many early buyers within the firm.
