On Sept. 6, 2022, Jane Goodall obtained the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication throughout the sixth version of Starmus Pageant in Yerevan, Armenia. The nomination was introduced by Nobel Laureate scientist and Starmus Advisory Board member Emmanuelle Charpentier.
Dr. Goodall’s work has impressed a number of generations of scientists, naturalists, explorers and science communicators, and her story grew to become the set off for the careers of 1000’s of younger ladies who went after their dream and made it come true. The Starmus Advisory Board unanimously chosen Dr. Goodall for this prestigious award introduced throughout the ceremony in Yerevan. Nonetheless, Dr. Goodall was not in a position to attend the ceremony in particular person, which is why the award was handed to her on November twenty ninth at Royal Geographical Society in London by Dr. Garik Israelian, co-founder of Starmus Pageant.
The Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication was based by Professor Hawking and Starmus Pageant’s Advisory Board in 2016. The winners have been chosen by Professor Hawking and Starmus Board and obtained the award throughout Starmus Pageant, a worldwide gathering of probably the most good minds on the planet combining artwork, space exploration and science communication, based by Dr. Garik Israelian and Dr. Brian Could.
The award consists of a medal designed by astronaut Alexei Leonov and Dr. Brian Could, Queen guitarist, and an unique Omega watch created particularly for the recipients of this award.
