Light pollution damaging views of space for majority of large observatories, survey finds

Synthetic mild air pollution from Earth is contaminating the skies over most main astronomical observatories, requiring fast motion to treatment, a group of worldwide scientists has decided.

The group, together with scientists from Italy, Chile and Spain, in contrast mild air pollution at virtually 50 observatories, starting from among the largest skilled observatories on the planet to smaller amateur-focused services. The scientists then utilized a mannequin of how mild travels by Earth’s atmosphere to nighttime views taken by satellites.
