NASA goes all in on the moon, and an upcoming mission referred to as Lunar Flashlight will add lasers to the occasion.

In the course of the mission, a small satellite (SmallSat), roughly the scale of a briefcase, will skim the moon‘s floor and use lasers to see into lunar craters, looking for water ice in locations we’ve not been capable of discover but. Lunar Flashlight will launch no sooner than Nov. 22 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket rideshare, becoming a member of Japan’s Hakuto-R lander and the United Arab Emirates’ Rashid 1 rover.
