MILTON KEYNES, U.Okay. — The European aerospace big Airbus has been testing its Mars Pattern Fetch rover over the previous few weeks in simulated Martian terrain in a quarry close to London, hoping the expertise, which is not ticketed for Mars, will get a second probability on a future moon mission.

The rover was initially anticipated to gather samples cached by NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover for a return to Earth within the early 2030s.
