What a tremendous week it’s been! The beloved Perseid meteor bathe peaked on the mornings of August 12 and 13, 2024. On the similar time, Earth was hit by a CME from the sun, inflicting geomagnetic storming as much as G4 (extreme) ranges … offering magnificent shows of auroras! Because of all who contributed to EarthSky neighborhood photographs!

All of the planning was for the annual Perseids however the auroras stole the present. It was a mesmerizing night time. Meteors flying all throughout the sky and the pillars of the northern lights dancing within the north. Such a dramatic night time it was. The auroras lasted so long as the Perseids did till day break.” Thanks!
