On Thursday (Dec. 1), the moon and Jupiter will likely be in conjunction sharing the identical right ascension within the night time sky. 

The nine-day-old moon will seem two levels to the south of Jupiter with the 2 objects making a detailed method to one another, referred to as an appulse.
