NGC 3628 — generally referred to as the Hamburger Galaxy — is probably finest referred to as a part of the Leo Triplet of galaxies. But it surely takes a solo bow on this HαLRGB picture, taken over 14.1 hours with a 10-inch f/4.0 scope. Seen to the galaxy’s left is its prolonged tidal tail, some 300,000 light-years lengthy, created by an interplay with one other galaxy.
