WR 134 in Cygnus is without doubt one of the first identified Wolf-Rayet stars, a category of uncommon stars named for his or her discoverers, French astronomers Charles Wolf and Georges Rayet. WR stars initially stood out attributable to their broad emission bands. Later, researchers discovered they have been the results of intense stellar winds, which may type nebulae just like the one seen right here. This picture was taken over 24¾ hours with a Ha/OIII dual-band filter and an 8-inch scope at f/7.3.
