This week we have now an in depth conjunction between the near-Full Moon and the intense, pink supergiant star Antares. Look south within the early morning sky on Might 24 and also you’ll see these two celestial our bodies coming inside 0.4° of one another — excellent for a binocular view or perhaps a low-power, wide-field view together with your Celestron telescope.
For the entire motion in Might’s skies, take a look at Sky this Month from our May issue, written by Martin Ratcliffe and Alister Ling.
