On Wednesday (Dec. 7) the moon will attain its full moon phase as December’s aptly-named Chilly Moon, the ultimate full moon of 2022, rises for many of the evening.

The Cold Moon rises above the horizon at round sundown and units at dawn reaching peak illumination at round 11:09 p.m. EST (0409 GMT) based on Farmer’s Almanac. (opens in new tab) December’s Chilly Moon has the next trajectory than most, which implies it should keep above the horizon for longer than many full moons.
