Hawaii’s Mauna Loa, the world’s largest energetic volcano, is erupting for the primary time in practically 40 years.

Dozens of earthquakes — certainly one of them a magnitude 4.2 quake — have swarmed the area after the volcano‘s Moku’āweoweo summit caldera erupted on Sunday (Nov. 27) evening. Officers have issued an ashfall advisory for Hawaii’s Large Island and residents have been requested to stay vigilant.
