Images of Venus-Saturn conjunction
In late January 2023, the brightest planet Venus, 2nd planet from the sun – and golden planet Saturn, sixth planet from the sun – handed one another within the west after sundown. Venus handed 0.4 levels S. of Saturn on the sky’s dome at 20 UTC on January 22. And EarthSky neighborhood members caught the pair lower than a moon-diameter aside within the western twilight that night time, and on the nights round that date. Plus the younger moon joined the present. Stunning!
Venus is ascending out of the sun’s glare, getting larger within the west after sundown as every new day attracts to the shut. It’ll be farthest from the sundown in early June, 2023. And Saturn is dropping into the sun’s glare and can be hidden within the sun’s glare by the tip of January. It’ll move most immediately behind the sun on February 16, 2023. Starting round now, the moon will wax throughout bigger and seem within the sky for extra hours of night time. Full moon would be the night time of February 4-5, 2023.
Take pleasure in these pictures from the EarthSky neighborhood, captured as Venus and Saturn handed!
