Two large rocket motors required to show the retired NASA space shuttle Endeavour as if it is about to blast off arrived Wednesday at a Los Angeles museum, finishing their lengthy journey from the Mojave Desert.
The 116-foot-long (35.3-meter) motors, which seem like large white cylinders, have been trucked over two days from the Mojave Air and House Port to LA’s Exposition Park, the place the California Science Middle’s Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center is being constructed to show Endeavour.
Donated by Northrop Grumman, the motors are the biggest parts of the 2 stable rocket boosters that may be connected to a space shuttle’s exterior tank to assist the primary engines raise the orbiter off the launch pad.
