A Japanese firm is about to try what no different personal enterprise has finished: land on the moon.

Tokyo’s ispace firm put its personal spacecraft into orbit across the moon a month in the past. On Tuesday, flight controllers will direct the craft, named Hakuto, Japanese for white rabbit, to descend from 60 miles (100 kilometers) excessive and land.

The 7-foot lander is carrying a mini lunar rover for the United Arab Emirates and a toylike robotic from Japan designed to roll round within the moon dust.

Hakuto took an extended, roundabout path to the moon following its December liftoff, beaming again photographs of Earth alongside the way in which.
